A lot of people ask me, "What can you get out of 300 square feet of garden? That's smaller than my living room!"

Well, here's the answer...the harvest from August 20, 2011!

Two heads of cabbage, okra, green beans, pickling and vining cucumbers, red pepper, green pepper, italian roasting peppers (those long red ones), and too many tomatoes to count.


Started in 2009 as a "family project", the garden has grown into a 300-square foot area. This year's vegetables comprise the following:
  • Tomatoes - Roma and Yellow Pear
  • Bush Beans
  • Peas
  • Cabbage - Red and Green
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Peppers - Red Bell, Yellow Bell, Green Bell, Italian Roaster, Alma Paprika and Jimmy Nardello
  • Turnips
  • Asparagus (first year)
  • Potatoes
  • Lettuce - Red Leaf, Green Leaf, and Romaine
  • Carrots
  • Okra
  • Cucumbers - Pickling and Salad
  • Zucchini
  • Butternut Squash
  • Pumpkin
  • Herbs - Dill, Savory, Cilantro, Caroway, Chives, Basil
Though the gardening season for 2011 is almost over, keep checking back for updates on this year's harvest!
